I believe things happen for reason. So, when I was driving to our New Jersey literacy warehouse, and missed my exit, ending up on Route 206 through the heart of Trenton, I abandoned the GPS and went with it. Along my route to my right, I encountered this Library Box – a repurposed newspaper vendor decorated by a local artist and filled with reading materials for those in the neighborhood. It’s the brainchild of Jacque Howard, a passionate community champion and  MagazineLiteracy.org partner. I happened to have a trunk filled with magazines upcycled for literacy by consumers, including these beautiful titles sent from Seattle, Denver, California, and Puerto Rico. I filled the Library Box, bringing the magazines within reach of eager Trenton readers, then got back in my car, and continued on my journey.
