As an undergraduate, I have always been reminded that college is the ultimate opportunity to network, form connections and gain contacts that will surely be valuable later on in my career and my life.

In February of 2015 I was reminded that the Cornell University network spans much farther—it allows students and alumni to unite around common goals. A simple recruitment email formed the link between the Cornell Business Review and MagazineLiteracy.org, launching a partnership between Cornell students and an alum dedicated to supporting global literacy.
The Cornell Business Review is a publication produced entirely by undergraduate students interested in relaying worldwide events and industry news from campus and beyond. It is easy to get sucked into the college bubble and forget that there is indeed a world outside of Cornell—our goal is to deliver students news from a perspective that they can understand and relate to.
MagazineLiteracy.0rg has provided us with the amazing opportunity to share our publication beyond campus and support the community. Their goal of empowering children and families who want to learn and love to read takes our mission one step further. This semester we have proudly donated copies of our past and most recent issue to MagazineLiteracy.org and hope to continue this relationship in the future.
Founder John Mennell was first inspired to support literacy while sitting in a Journalism class at Cornell—it seems only fitting that he is now motivating current Cornellians to pursue the same mission.
